# Introduction

CAXperts 4D System converts activity and task data from 4D/5D planning tools such as Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project into animations for UDiTH.

There are two modes available:

1. Offline or command-line mode: converts Excel files containing 4D/5D data directly into UPV animation files.
2. Oracle Primavera P6 live connection: creates UPV animations by using live P6 data and writes UPV animation data directly to the P6 database.

   Prerequisites: Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera P6 API, and 4D System WebService.

## Prerequisites

-   Supported operating systems:
    -   Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, or later
    -   Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or later
-   UDiTH API
-   Microsoft Office 2003 or later

-   For the P6 live mode: Oracle Primavera P6 Server, Primavera P6 Client and Primavera P6 Integration API
