# Attributes Tab

The **Attributes** tab is displayed by default at start-up. It contains all attribute information for the selected item or items that was provided during the building process, whether from the authoring system or the UDiTH SDK.

- Double-click an attribute value to copy it to the clipboard for further use.
- Drag an attribute into the main window to turn it into a comment.
- Right-click an attribute and then select **Add to search filter** to restrict the search to that attribute in the search filter window.

The information shown in the Attributes tab includes:

- The number of objects you have selected.
- A list of links for the selected object or objects.
- All attributes of the selected object or objects.

> In the **Settings** tab, you can choose whether empty attributes are shown or hidden. For `FileName > Equipment`, **Equipment** is displayed.

When a value, such as the one in the **Name** field, can be edited, the following colours indicate the field type:

- **White** for **read-only** fields
- **Light yellow** for **editable** fields
- **Dark yellow** for **custom** attributes

## Links

The upper part of the **Attributes** tab displays the links attached to the selected object. You can attach links to websites, local and cloud-based documents, images, and external systems, depending on the available API.

> Due to security reasons, links to executable programs and scripts are not possible.

> Documents are opened with the standard application defined in Windows for the corresponding file type.

If a link between the 3D model and the P&ID has been established, a link to the associated objects in 3D is displayed. Clicking this link in UDiTH selects the corresponding objects in the 3D model and centres the view on them.

A linked 3D object also includes a link with the name of the P&ID in its attributes. This allows you to switch easily between the P&ID and 3D views for linked objects.
