# Comment

## Quick Comments

1. Select an object.
2. Go to the **Files** tab and select **Comment** from the **Add** drop-down menu.
3. Enter your text in the box to add a comment to the model.

> You can **drag attributes** from the menu on the right into the main window. These attributes are treated as comments and linked to their object.

### Changing and Deleting Comments

To change a comment, click it so that it is highlighted in red, then enter the new text. Alternatively, you can drag a new attribute into the main window.

To delete a comment, select it and click the **Remove** icon in the top toolbar.

To reselect the object linked to the comment, click the **Select** icon. This allows you to move the comment line to a different object. A red marker appears to help you position it accurately.

To edit your comment, simply double-click the **Comment** or click the **(Un)Lock** icon.

Click this icon to **hide comment line**. This feature is especially useful in the 2D environment.

To **hide** a comment, toggle this icon.

In the **Files** tab, the comment name matches its content. You can modify comments either by changing the name in the **Files** tab or by using the **(Un)Lock** button. The first option is useful for short comments, while the second opens an editor panel at the bottom of the right-hand panel:

This is ideal for editing longer comments that are too long for the name field.

Once you have finished editing the comment in the panel, apply the changes by clicking **Apply text**.
