# Markup

The **Markup** tool can be used to create editable screenshots in UDiTH. When you add a Markup, a screenshot is taken from the current camera position.

1. Go to the **Files** tab and select **Markup** from the **Add** drop-down menu.

2. Enter a name for the **Markup**.

3. Click the **(Un)Lock** button next to the Markup to open the editing tools.

4. The **Markup** editing tools are available in the additional context menu on the right:

**Show initial screenshot** displays the view that was captured when the Markup was created, without any user interface elements.

**Undo/Redo** undoes a single action or restores it if it was undone.

**Draw free line** creates a freehand line that follows the movement of the mouse or finger in any direction.

**Draw straight line** creates a straight line in the direction of the mouse or finger movement.

**Draw orthogonal line** creates an orthogonal line aligned with the X and Y axes.

**Draw rectangle** creates a rectangle whose size is defined by the mouse or finger movement.

**Draw oval** creates an oval whose size is defined by the mouse or finger movement.

**Draw text** creates a text field at the position where you click. The font size and colour are defined by the pen settings. If you select existing text, it can be edited.

**Move** allows you to move the currently selected element in any direction on the P&ID.

**Eraser** removes parts of positioned markups graphically. It does not delete entire objects, only the parts over which the tool is moved, similar to using a sponge.

**Pen templates** set the drawing pen to a fixed size and colour. The last template is opaque.

**Pen definition** changes the size and colour of the pen.

**Pen colour** - Click the colour panel to open additional colour options. The slider controls the transparency.
