# Spraying

The **Spraying** feature allows you to select segments within a **3D laser scan object** in detail and either export or remove the selected parts from the model.

> The **Spraying** tool works only in the **3D laser scan** environment.

## Tools

**Volume clipping** generates a clipped area from the previously sprayed and selected surfaces.

**Pen** sets the drawing pen to a fixed **radius** and colour. You can also define a maximum **distance**.

Press **Shift** or **Alt** to switch between drawing and removing.

> The **Spraying** tool is intended for keyboard users only. Touch screens are not supported.

You can save the sprayed region as a **.upvc** file. This file can then be used in the [**LaserscanClippingPlugin**](https://help.caxperts.com/UDiTH%20Capture%20Station/LaserscanClippingPlugin).
